What a fantastic holiday weekend! We spent Thanksgiving with family, telling new and old stories, stuffing our bellies and watching our beloved Seattle Seahawks win! I hope that all of you were able to do the same.

Only half of our crazy clan! Go Hawks! |
We woke up Saturday morning to small snowflakes and I took that as a wonderful sign of good things to come and boy did they ever! Our Carousel of Dreams donation day was so much fun! We were able to say thank you to family, friends and strangers for their kindness and watch the children (and adults) have a great time riding the Carousel.
One of the aspects of Sutton's Toy Drive that we love and encourage is when parents take their children shopping with them. I would like you to meet my friend Julie and here son Chase.
Their family has supported us every year of the drive but this is the first chance I have had to talk to Chase about donating and I am just in love with him! He took the time to let me know that Legos were a must have because you can do it when you are sick in the hospital or at home. He said it wasn't even hard to pick out toys and know he was giving them to someone he doesn't know. Even at his young age he had an understanding and appreciation for what he was doing.

Half of the Lindstrom Family |
I would like to introduce you another amazing family that has supported us in a huge way! My friend Holli and her family have not only donated toys on their own but have helped spread the word and gathered more toys from friends and family to donate. Each one of their kids helps to gather toys all year long, not just during the holiday season. And when they come to donate, they have never once been upset that they aren't getting to keep any of the toys themselves. They love taking all the toys out and setting them up and checking out all the other donations.

Holli Martell and one of her adorable kids! |
We were really excited to see our local news come out to talk about the toy drive as well! In case you missed it you can check out KNDU and KEPR for their features on what we are trying to do.
Thank you so much to ALL of you who came out Saturday for our Carousel of Dreams donation day! I want to thank Conover Insurance and Gesa Carousel of Dreams for helping us reach out to the public and gather even more toys for kids sitting in a hospital bed this holiday season. We hope it's the beginning to a great relationship!
I especially want to thank my family for being such an incredible support to us on Saturday and every day. I don't know where would be in life without all of you and everything you do for us.
We love you guys!

We are only missing a few - but these are some of our favorite peeps! |
Between Saturday's event and toys being delivered to our home already we estimate that we were able to collect over 250 toys and gift cards! What a great start - right?!
Our family heads to Spokane December 18th, so we have two weeks left and there are so many more toys needed. Don't forget about our four drop off locations:
Stemp Screenprinting The Batter's Box
13 S Dayton St 1238 Columbia Park Trail
Kennewick Richland
Mirage Pool N Spa Shakey's Pizza
7422 W Clearwater 4525 Road 68
Kennewick Pasco
Please come join in the festivities this Saturday at the HDKP's 'Merry Little Christmas'! There will be ice skating, hay rides, Polar Express activities as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus! Stemp Screenprinting is also located downtown and will be accepting gifts from 11-4. For every toy donated at this location on Saturday, you will receive a raffle ticket for 4 tickets to the Tri-City Americans Hockey game on December 12th!
We believe that every little bit helps, so please keep spreading the word, sharing on social media, etc. because we need as many toys as possible for these kids! Feel free to email me if you would like to have donations sent to our home or click on the GoFundMe link in the right hand corner and we will shop till we drop on the 16th!
Here are some of the photos of friends and family from this past Saturday at the Gesa Carousel of Dreams!
